I'm Bridie, a twenty something londoner. This blog is a place for me to collect all my writing, which I do quite a lot of.
I mainly veer between journalistic pieces, creative writing and everyday, self indulgent rambling. What you'll find here is me practising, experimenting, and hopefully developing my own personal writing style. I'm also currently contributing to various publications in print and online, and any published work will be put up here.
The blog's name comes from a quote by Dean Young-
"I was satisfied with haiku until I met you, but now I want a Russian novel,
a 50-page description of you sleeping"
To me, "a 50 page description" epitomises what I love about writing. Extensive, detailed and passionate work is what inspires me, and is something that I hope to convey with my own writing (though I am not calling myself Tolstoy, I promise).
